Children learn to be strong and independent through Positive Relationships
Little Tots Nursery offers full day-care for all Children from 0 – 8 years. It is situated in a prime location for local businesses and hospital. The Nursery offers flexible hours to suit all individual requirements. Little Tots is open all year round (Excluding five main bank holidays, Easter, Christmas, and New Years Day) 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday and include funded hours for 2,3 and 4 year olds.
Little Tots Nursery provides a friendly environment which is tailored to meet the individual needs of all Children who attend. We provide a ‘home from home’ atmosphere where Children can relax and feel safe. Little Tots prides itself in developing close and trusting relationships with families, this enables both the families and practitioners to work collaboratively in helping Children reach their full potential.

At Little Tots, we have a commitment to provide a safe stimulating environment for both fun and learning. The setting is very clear around the statutory expectations of the Early Years Foundation Stage and adheres to these expectations at all times.
We operate an inclusive practice where everyone is equally respected. We operate an open-door policy to welcome all Children and their families into the setting at any time, and offer stay and play sessions to help build quality relationships. Each Child has their own individual Key Person (someone who they bond with) to assure their needs are met, and all practitioners work together as an effective team as ‘Key Buddies’ to offer continuity of care for all children and their families.

Play
Within Little Tots Nursery, Practitioners provide well planned experiences based on children's spontaneous play, both indoors and outdoors. We endeavour to provide children with a stimulating environment, where play and learning go hand in hand. The Nursery recognises the importance of play in all children's learning and development. It is through play children develop intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally. Parents/Carers are equally involved within children's learning and development, practitioners highlight the importance of play through newsletters, our online learning journeys through an app called 'ParentZone', transition passports, two year progress checks and inviting Parents/Carers to come and join in with stay and play sessions within the setting.

Facilities
Childcare is provided over two floors. The ground floor is divided into two areas. A large room for Over 3's (Pre-School Room) offering free flowing outdoor play and also a separate room for Pre-School to use for quieter projects or smaller group activities. The first floor consists of one large room for the 2 - 3 years (Mini Pre-School Room) and two smaller rooms (Babies) for the under 2's. This ensures variety and fun in both learning and play. We develop our play/curriculum activities in accordance with the requirements of OFSTED with reference to the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' along with 'Every Child Matters'
Take a look around
"An enabling environment plays a key role in supporting children’s learning and development. It is well recognised that children learn and develop best in caring, supportive environments which respond to their individual needs, allowing them to play and explore." - Pacey
Little Tots aims to provide an ideal, safe environment for both fun and learning we believe a close relationship between staff and children’s parents is very beneficial to all the children’s development. All children are very different and want different things Little Tots will provide structure where Children can explore, experiment, plan and make decisions for their selves thus enabling them to learn develop and make good progress. As a setting it is our responsibility to ensure that the diversity of individuals and communities is valued and respected. Not only so that every child is included and not disadvantaged, but also that all children learn from the earliest age to value diversity in others and grow up making a positive contribution to society.

Parent Information
EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
Within Little Tots Nursery we follow the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines and recommendations.
The EYFS is a comprehensive framework which sets the standards for Early Years development, learning and child welfare from birth to five years.
The EYFS comprises of four complementary themes.
A Unique Child
Principle: Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Enabling Environments
Principle: The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning
Positive Relationships
Principle: Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parent/carers, key person and peer relations.
Learning and Development
Principle: Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of learning and development are equally important and interconnected.
Children are provided with experiences and support which helps them develop a positive sense of themselves and of others, respect for others, social skills and a positive disposition to learn within the EYFS framework.
At Little Tots Nursery we understand the importance of positive relationships and the impact they have on the unique child to create enabling environments where children thrive and families feel welcome.
ParentZone
For the convenience of all the families who attend the setting we offer ‘Parent Zone’. This is an app. to bring families closer to their Child’s development in nursery. Parent Zone gives families secure access to view the individual time line (Learning Journey) of their Child, such as, photos, videos and updates made by Practitioners of daily activities.
Access to Parent Zone is by invitation only. The nursery requires parents to provide an up to date email address and a link is sent out via email to enable families to create a unique log in password for Parent Zone.
All data on Parent Zone is protected by a 256 bit TLS 1.2 certificate (typically internet banking uses 128 bit), and data is hosted on secure UK based, highly resilient servers. The secure data centres are certified to International IS027001 standards, to ensure they are tested against a strict security standard.
All of the data on Parent Zone including personal photos and videos can only be viewed by the Child's family members and Nursery Practitioners within the setting.
